From a young age Polina was fascinated by people and nature, and tried to capture this in her early drawings from the special moments she experienced. Polina always enjoyed to work with a wide variety of materials such as watercolors, oil, acrylics, Fimo sculpture, painting on Ceramic and Glass. In 1969 after graduating from the Art School she joined the Chernivtsi City Theater working as a stage decorator. In 1972 her family immigrated to Israel. From the moment Polina arrived to Israel she new that this is going to be a very important change in her artistic career.
